ANDRÉ FERREIRA
Guitar & Lute
André Ferreira is a Portuguese guitarist and lutenist based in Vienna. His musical journey has taken him across Europe, where he studied under renowned artists such as Margarita Escarpa, Tilman Hoppstock, Paolo Pegoraro, Ricardo Gallén, and David Bergmüller.
He holds two master’s degrees in Guitar and Lute performance, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Music Pedagogy.
A multi-faceted musician, André performs actively as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. He regularly collaborates with ensembles such as Concentus Musicus Wien and Bach Consort Wien, appearing at major venues and festivals across Europe.
Since 2023, he has been teaching guitar and lute at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
